Book Proposal Submissions

 Serendipity Media Group is open to proposal submissions. We will consider any proposal, even ones by first time authors and authors who do not have an agent. We publish a wide variety of books including cookbooks, self-help books, children’s books,  young adult fiction, poetry, Christian, and the whimsical.

Serendipity Media Group is a small press and they publish e books, print books, and audio books. 

Your book proposal should include a description of the book's intended market, an explanation regarding why someone would want to purchase the book, a short personal biography that includes any relevant information, A table of contents, and a sample chapter. Also, your plans to help support your book's visibility in the marketplace.

Your cookbook proposal should include the tentative title of the book, the book’s intended market, competitive analysis, why someone would want to purchase your book, a biography that shows your expertise, a sample table of contents, 2-3 recipes.

Instant Pot is a kitchen appliance with a cult following. Its exponential growth has reached 11.5% of US households owning an Instant Pot and it keeps growing. In a single day, on Amazon Prime Day in 2016, 215,000 US residents purchased an Instant Pot. Since its introduction in 2015, the sales in the US for the Instant Pot have more than doubled, in 2017, US sales of Instant Pot purchases was $400 million. 


Instant Pot Beef Stew

1 ½ Pounds Beef Stew Meat

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

1 Teaspoon Salt

1 Teaspoon Pepper

1 Teaspoon Italian Seasoning

2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce

3 Cloves Garlic, Minced

1 Large White Onion, Chopped

1 16 Ounce Bag Baby Carrots, Cut Into Slices

1 Pound Potatoes, Cubed

2 ½ Cups of Beef Broth

1 10 Ounce Can Tomato Sauce

2 Tablespoons Cornstarch

2 Tablespoons Water

Directions: 

  1. Add the olive oil to the instant pot and turn on the saute function. When the oil starts to sizzle, next add the meat and season with the salt, pepper, and the Italian seasoning.
  2. Cook the meat until Browned on all sides.
  3. Add the beef broth to the instant pot and use a spoon to scrape the brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
  4. Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion, carrots, potatoes, and tomato sauce.
  5. Close the lid and steam valve on the instant pot.
  6. Cook on high pressure for 35 minutes, then allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes before doing a quick release.
  7. Mix together the cornstarch and cold water in a small bowl and stir into the stew until thickened.
